I had the best weekend in Deer Valley taking
Nichole Hill Gerulat's Photography Retreat! It was amazing and I learned so much I am afraid I won't be able to implement all of it. One of the first things we did was an abstract assignment on Main Street in Deer Valley. We had twenty minutes to walk down or up the street and find pictures that would be hard to identify what they actually were. What was cool about this is that it made me really look closely for little details. Everyone in our group got amazing shots and they were all different. We all saw different things. I am not saying that this is my favorite kind of photography and I don't know how much of it I will do in the future, but it was a great training exercise and I highly recommend trying it out. Here are my shots-
OK so some of them you can tell what they are, but the point is to try not to. On some I just couldn't help myself
This is a painting in a window with my shadow darkening the two girls. They left side of the photograph is confused with construction in the background
Sometimes you just find strange things together
I really need to get some new tennis shoes
