Cesky Kumlov, Czech Republic

One of the days David was at the conference, I took at tour to Cesky Krumlov. Its a country village or city that was incredibly beautiful. The castle sat up on a hill overlooking a small bend in the river. It's truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Chesky Krumlov is how it it pronounced. It an untouched medieval city that sits in a beautiful little valley

The Castle belonged to the Eggenbergs for 100 years and then the Schwarzenbergs from early 1700' to 1947

The Castle has wonderful views

The town itself is very quaint and small enough to walk the whole thing

Town square. I met a new friend on the trip. Lynette (in the brown coat) was her name and she had come to Prague while her husband was working in Germany. Originally though they live in Oregon. We had a lot of fun together and she took pictures of me for me. Yeah!

Medieval cities always have these wonderful, narrow walkways

Lynette and I ate lunch at this little cafe in the town square

The castle had some fun doorways

The Schwarzenbergs mascot so to speak were bears. They still keep bears in the moat of the castle

The Castle had some fun windows

The Church of St. Vitus is in the Castle walls

Musicians entertain on the bridge from the Castle to the town

For me this place rivaled San Gimignano in Italy

The Bohemian countryside was incredible

I am getting a little better at taking pictures from bus windows!
