Taking the Family to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks

June, 2010- We took a weekend trip to Arches and Canyonlands since I had never seen them before. We are not much into camping so we just stayed in a motel. We had a great time though it was hot.

Balancing Rock

Double Arch

Window Arch

South Window Arch

Delicate Arch

With the La Sal Mountains in the background

Landscape Arch

Rex at Sand Arch

Joseph is doing his thing and Rex is still plagued by knats since the cruise

Cooling off after the hiking in Arches all day

I found something I liked about Ipods- all the cars that went by were honking

Dead Horse point

Need some help?

Mesa Arch in Canyonlands

There was a sheer drop here- it was kind of scary

There are lots of cool Petroglyphs near Moab and we found them all

Anna said that she always thought she should have been born an Indian

There are Petroglyphs on all four sides of this rock

  1. I have to say thank you for this amazing blog post. You have reminded me so much of my own visit to Arches National Park. This was an amazing journey for me as I ventured into landscape photography. I took the pics myself and came up with a gallery of <a href="http://www.darkeclipse.com/landscape-pictures/national-park-pictures/arches-pictures/" Arches National Park Photography ="> of which I am really willing to share with you and your readers. Please feel free to visit my site: www.darkeclipse.com.
